Fishing off the Pier

To take a break from all the unpacking and work of moving into a new house, Tshombe took Jordan fishing off the pier. Jordan had a blast !! They didn't catch anything but

that didn't seem to matter -- they both had a great time !!

Moving Day !!

Ever heard the phrase "Many hands make a light load" -- well it was certainly true in our case !! 23 people showed up to help us move into our new house !! All 4 bedrooms, Dining room, Kitchen, 2 Baths, Office, Living room, Utility room were moved in just 1.5 hours !!!!! ONE AND A HALF HOURS !! Our church has a moving ministry and these angels helped us move ! Thank you so much !

Curley's Farm !

I saw a newspaper ad for this nearby farm called Curley's Farm. In the ad it stated they had a summer volunteer program. So, each Tuesday during the summer, Jordan and I will volunteer on the farm ..... well, play is more like it - ha

Good Buy, Aunt Marjorie

Tshombe's aunt passed away this week and the family got together to celebrate her life here on earth and her "new" life in Heaven!! Although I never met her, she sounded like a great lady -- she graduated from highschool (at age 15) with a scholarship to any Florida University -- she chose Tallahassee and graduated with a teaching degree -- she taught for over 40 years -- wow !!

After the funeral, the family and close friends shared stories, laughed, cried, and ate great food -- basically (and I know this might sound disrespectful) we had a good time together -- and I think that's just want Aunt Marj would have wanted !

Poor Boo !!

Well, while we were on our anniversary date, Jordan fell off of mom's rolling walker in the driveway. She landed on the same wrist she broke 2 years ago. So, we came home and took her to the ER. They did x-rays that showed it wasn't broken but she did have a bad sprain. We got back home around 2:00 am -- yep, never a dull moment !!

Anniversary Fun in St. Augustine

After opening our presents, we drove to St. Augustine for dinner and sightseeing.

Happy 8th Anniversary !!

Well, we've made it 8 whole years !! On our anniversaries, we like to give "traditional" anniversary gifts... well, this year was bronze so... I got him a bronze statue of a golfer to put in his office. Tshombe surprised me with a beautiful diamond ring ..... surprise, surprise !! Yes, it's true -- good things come to those who wait !!!

A Fun Day at the Beach

Daddy took a day off and we spent it on the beach !! Oreo learned how to stay on a boogie board, Jordan ventured out past her usual "safety zone", and again I am grateful to have such a loving family !!! Look at the last picture of Tshombe and Jordan -- so many people say she looks like me but here she looks just like her dad -- too cute !!
