Old Room, New Room, Beige Room, Blue Room
Jordan was getting restless with the color of her room. Too "blah" she said. So, for a month now she's been trying to decide which color she wanted to paint her room. Her initial color was black. Uh, NO! Try again..... then she couldn't decide between lime green, purple, or pink. But finally, she reached a conslusion ... Sea Blue.
Jordan's room before the makeover.

"Testing" the color --- oooohhhh, ahhhhhh -- we likey!
I "edged" the room.
And posed for pictures.

Honey Extraction
Jordi & I visited our local agricultural center this past Saturday where we got to watch how they extract honey from bee hives.
Here are some of the bee hives. Each hive has it's own Queen Bee and up to a million worker bees.
Mr. Honey Man, has been doing this for 40 years. That's why he's not wearing any gear. Dont' try this at home.
Look at all of those bees !!!
After they get the bees off the honey combs, they bring them here to extract the honey.
Honey Combs sans bees.
Jordan got to use the hot knife to "de-cap" the combs. The hot knife melts the top layer of the honey where the bees plugged it with wax.
Once the honey combs are de-capped, they are placed in a centrifuge.
Where you crank......
and crank......
and crank ....
out the honey !!!!! YUM !!!
Not surprisingly, Jordi said it tasted like honey.
(I so wanted to ask if she thought it was going to taste like chicken? ..... but I didn't ;-)

Having Fun In The Zone
I took a vacation day Friday.
But alas, Jordan had other plans........
I decided to stay at home and do absolutely nothing. I wanted to rest and relax and eat bon bons while watching old black and white movies.
But alas, Jordan had other plans........
Welcome to Fun Zone - where all the fantasies of kids 13 and under come true! And where the hearts of their parents occassionally stop.
Well, first things first ..... it's comforting to know that some things never change... like the carpet. Isn't this the exact same carpet that I skated over 20 some odd years ago????
And these skates !!!!! They are the exact same ones I skated in over 20 some odd years ago !!
Well, let's go skating !
PAC MAN????? You've got to be kidding me. 30 years later and they're still going strong !
So were the "brain freezes" -- LOL !!
Although some things hadn't changed, other things had....

10 Things............
As I reflected on Father's Day, I soon realized I wasn't one. So, I started thinking of being a mom .......
Things I’ve Learned From Being A Mother…
1. Dancing in the middle of the LR is just as fun as dancing at a club.
2. The best smell ever is the top of a baby’s head.
3. PB&J sandwiches with a chocolate chip cookie really is the perfect meal.
4. Sometimes people do say things they don’t mean.
5. Time-Outs also work for adults.
6. Sleep is IMPORTANT!
7. I really do have eyes in the back of my head.
8. Every moment is a teachable moment.
9. How I treat others does matter.
10. God is in control – trust Him!
