MERRY CHRISTMAS !!!!

This year it was Nana who woke everyone up at 6:00 am to open presents.

Jordan didn't mind it !

I didn't either !!

And of course Nana was ready ....

but Oreo was still a little sleepy and disoriented ....

( why are we up so early on a Saturday !!!!)

Nana made Jordan a pillow for her bedroom --- hand sewn and stiched !

Which earned Nana a big hug !!

Gingerbread House

Each year, Jordan & Nana make a Gingerbread House.

It's "their" tradition; however, this year

Jordan wanted to make it herself.

Which was fine with Nana - who at the time was elbow deep

in peanut butter balls.

With this kit, you literally have to "construct" the house.

Although the finished product is cute.... I  asked Jordan where all

the frosting went ???  She said "Well, it just didn't work right.  It

ended up all over my arms and legs instead of the house."

Now that's one picture I wish I had :-)

Nana's Famous Peanut Butter Balls !!!

My mom makes the best baked beans, the best chili, the best peach cobbler and

THE BEST PEANUT BUTTER BALLS !!!!!

First you start out with .... peanut butter!  Oh, peanut butter, how we love thee ... with bread, with celery, with apples, with a fork ....

but especially with a pound of confectioner's sugar

(yes, you read that right.. a POUND.)

Winter Band Concert

It's that time of year !! 

 Beautiful decorations...

Fun clothes, fellowship, and happy smiles... 

And wonderful music !!...

Jordan plays the French Horn in the 7th grade band.  This year she got to sit up on stage.  I can already tell a big difference in their playing over last year!  They sound great!

I love the Christmas Season!!

With all the colors, and decorations, and foods !

Of course, Jesus is the reason for the season ...

so, thank you, Lord, for being the best gift of all !

Downtown Winter Wonderland

We had a downtown Winter Festival where the city brought in actual snow!

Everyone had fun throwing snowballs !!

As with all festivals, there were tons of local vendors selling their wares. 

 Here is a "tin man" bird house - cute !

And free sweets ......  look at the size of that cookie !

Tis The Season To Be Jolly !!

This year the clinical side of where I work invited me to attend their Christmas party.

We met at O'Charleys.

And enjoyed the rolls..

and opened gifts...

 

 

The best part is that I actually work in the Occ Med Dpt ...  so I get to do this again next week with more friends :-) --- I love this time of year !!
