Daddy / Daughter Date at the Caverns

Tshombe picked up Jordan for a Daddy / Daughter Date. He took her to the Flordia State Caverns in Marianna, Fl. They had a fabulous time !

I have no idea who G.W. Hoover, Sr. is but I like the quote.

I'm glad Jordi got to see the "CCC" sign, she learned about the public work relief program under Roosevelt's New Deal Program this past school year in Social Studies.

Sweet.

Bat House?????

Going into the cave .... there's no turning back now !

OOOOOOOHHHHHH, AAAAAHHHHHHH --- awesome sights!!
The park’s caves have a long and interesting geologic history beginning about 38 million years ago when sea levels were much higher and the southeastern coastal plain of the United States was submerged. Shells, coral and sediments gradually accumulated on the sea floor. As sea levels fell, these materials hardened into limestone. During the last million years, acidic groundwater dissolved crevices just below the surface creating cave passages large enough to walk through. Dazzling stalactites, stalagmites, flowstone and other fragile cave-drip formations were by a similar dissolving process by the naturally acidic rainwater. The park’s bluffs, springs and caves are referred to as karst terrain, and the caves provide habitat for the blind cave crayfish, cave salamanders and three species of cave roosting bats.

Family Fun In The Sun !

There's nothing like family :-)

The same blood, traditions, and bra size.

Gives you a great sense of security and belonging.

But most importantly, family gives you great target practice and lots of training on how to beat up someone with a ballooon !!

My cousin, Monica and her son Austin came for a visit :-)

We had a great time!

Nana had fun too ---- Nana always has fun.

We went to Water World. A local water park.

Hey, Austin -- having fun?

Are you kidding? We're having a BLAST !!!

The next morning, My other cousin Jay (Monica's brother) drove 8 hours from TN to bring his daughter, Ashley....... 'cause you know, cousins have to get together and have a good time! It's in the rules!

We went to a local arcade / go kart / water fun / put-put golf thingy.

Thank God for the water stuff. It was 96 degrees outside..... nuff said.

On the way home, Monica happened to mention that Austin had never seen the ocean.

WHAT???? The boy is 10 years old, every 10 year old boy has to see the ocean.... just has to. It's in the rules.

So, the next morning we packed a cooler full of hot dogs and chips and chocolate :-) and headed to the beach ! Panama City Beach !

YEP! I think he liked it ...... I think they all liked the beach ! I know I did !

Well, all good things must come to an end. And what better way to say good bye than with Krispy Kreme DoNuts ??? I think it's in the rules somewhere "Rule #100020232154: Must say good bye with Krispy Kreme."

So, we happily followed the rule !

We love you Aunt Monica, Cousin Austin, and Cousin Ashley !!!

Come back anytime !!! We already miss you!

OOOOO LA LA WHAT A HOTTIE !!

OMG'sh !!! What a sleeping beauty!

"I'm ready for my close-up."
Doesn't she look like a centerfold -- LOL !!

Budding Artist

Just wanted to show-off Jordan's art work. She had to draw something that depicted the Civil Rights Era for Social Studies. So, she picked Rosa Parks. The wording says "One Person Can Change The World!".

What are little girls made of ???

Aren't little girls made of sugar and spice and everything nice?
And little boys are made of frogs, and snails and puppy dog tails?

Well, sometimes little girls break the molds and do their own thing - LOL !
We have a huge pond close by where we live. It has turtles, huge Koi fish, and .... FROGS!
LOTS and LOTS and LOTS of frogs. It's a never ending frog mating sanctuary. Along the "coastline" of the pond, you can see the eggs. Then about 2 weeks later the eggs turn into tadpoles (millions of them) and about two weeks later the tadpoles turn into tiny frogs. And the cycle continues on and on and on. Jordan thought they were "cute". LOL!
