Wasting Time.

So, this is what we do while waiting in traffic.

 

 

I spose it's better than picking our noses.

Downtown City Fest....

Each year our city holds a "Fest" downtown, where cyclists compete and the onlookers eat! (I'm an onlooker... just sayin')

since our city is considered the peanut capitol of the world, we have peanut statues all around town.  Here's one pointing to the downtown area.

Oooooo, look!  Cyclists!

I thought this was cute !  It's a wall that's put up infront of construction.  It says " What the world calls an end, the master calls a beginning" ... cute.

Another one of our city's appeal, is it's murals depicting the city's history. Not quite sure what's going on herre ??  Prohibition?? LOL

Oooooo, look!  Food!  It's actually gumgo.  They had a gumbo cook off where we got to taste 5 different types of gumbo and then vote for our favorite.

Had I known that the last one I tasted was cooked with crawfish and oysters ....  I wouldn't have eaten it last -- UGH!  The aftertaste was .... fishy???

HAIL ON EARTH....

So, one weekend, we were just sitting around minding  our own business when...

it started hailing ---  HAILING in Alabama, in April!

And, of course, Jordan & I were out in it -- LOL !

My other teen.  Sometimes there's just too much "attitude" going on in this house.

"Oreo.  It's time to go outside."

"Oreo. Did you hear me?"

"Stop ignoring me, I know you heard me."

"Stop yelling at me.  Of course, I heard you -- the whole neighborhood heard you. --Geesh, MOOOOOOOM!"

What happened to my sweet little girl?  Sure hopes this passes soon. ;-)

IT'S SPRING !!!!!!!!!!!

And you know what that means !! Time to decorate :-)

When mom came to live with us ...

she, of course, brought all of her decorations with her !

I loved it !!

It's fun walking into the same house ...

but decorated differently ever so often.

It sort of "spices' things up !

And everything looks so cute :-)

Oreo was invited to a birthday party !!

She met a new friend named Lacy .  They loved each other!

Jordan met a new friend too... and well, they showed their love by shoving cupcakes into each other's face.

Good Grief!

Oreo enjoyed her cupcake!

Me and Mary.  We know them from when we lived in Florida.  Six months before we moved to Alabama they had already moved...... to a city that's only 10 minutes away !!!  Pretty neat !

I turned 40 ... and I'm still fabulous !!

My supervisor and co-workers decorated my desk with black ribbon, black balloons and black cupcakes -lol

This isn't too far from the truth -- ha ha !!

The Asst. Admin also made me a strawberry shortcake - cake.  It was DLish!!  And in the heat of the moment I forgot to take a picture --lol

At home, mom and Jordi got me some presents and candles ....

that I couldn't blow out !

With all the cards and well wishes on Face Book, I felt loved !  Happy B'Day to me !
