Happy 65 !!!!!!

WE LOVE YOU !!

My other teen. Sometimes there's just too much "attitude" going on in this house.

"Oreo. It's time to go outside."

"Oreo. Did you hear me?"

"Stop ignoring me, I know you heard me."

"Stop yelling at me. Of course, I heard you -- the whole neighborhood heard you. --Geesh, MOOOOOOOM!"

What happened to my sweet little girl? Sure hopes this passes soon. ;-)

IT'S SPRING !!!!!!!!!!!

And you know what that means !! Time to decorate :-)

When mom came to live with us ...

she, of course, brought all of her decorations with her !

I loved it !!

It's fun walking into the same house ...

but decorated differently ever so often.

It sort of "spices' things up !

And everything looks so cute :-)

Oreo was invited to a birthday party !!

She met a new friend named Lacy . They loved each other!

Jordan met a new friend too... and well, they showed their love by shoving cupcakes into each other's face.

Good Grief!

Oreo enjoyed her cupcake!

Me and Mary. We know them from when we lived in Florida. Six months before we moved to Alabama they had already moved...... to a city that's only 10 minutes away !!! Pretty neat !

I turned 40 ... and I'm still fabulous !!

My supervisor and co-workers decorated my desk with black ribbon, black balloons and black cupcakes -lol

This isn't too far from the truth -- ha ha !!

Ah, how cute ....

The Asst. Admin also made me a strawberry shortcake - cake. It was DLish!! And in the heat of the moment I forgot to take a picture --lol

At home, mom and Jordi got me some presents and candles ....

that I couldn't blow out !

With all the cards and well wishes on Face Book, I felt loved ! Happy B'Day to me !

National Junior Honor Society

Jordan was inducted into the National Junior Honor Society.

It's a pretty big deal.

It honors kids from Middle School through High School who have shown outstanding characteristics.

Such as Scholarship...

Leadership...

Service....

Character....

and Citizenship...

and best Personality.

(ok, I lied about the personality part.... but if there was an award for best personality, I think she'd get it ;-)

At the end of the ceremony, the 70 kids who were inducted said their pledge....

"I pledge myself to uphold the high purpose of the National Junior Honor Society to which I have been included. I will be true to the principles for which it stands. I will be loyal to my school and will maintain and encourage high standards of Scholarship, Service, Leadership, Character, and Citizenship."

Band Concert

Jordan had another band concert but at a different High School. While they were setting up, I took a picture. From behind me, I heard a small, dainty, sweet voice say "cheeeeeese". At first, I didn't pay any attention, thinking someone else was taking a picture. But when I lifted up my camera again, I heard the same sweet voice say " CHEEEEESE!!!!"

So I turned around and this is what I saw....... a sweetie pie with a huge smile on her face. So, I said "Hi Sweetie pie, would you like me to take a picture of you ?" And she said, "CHEEEESE!"

Meanwhile, my own sweetie pie was goofin off with friends.

Mr. Batchelor, the band director, announced that next week the 7th -8th grade band will meet at the local highschool to compete with other middle school bands in State Competitions. They played two selections that they will play at the competition. Let's just say that I expect them to win !! Great job !! I thought I was listening to a High School band!
